Showered Again!

We were "showered" with gifts from Lee's side of the family over the holiday break and I can't even express enough gratitude for all the wonderful things we received for Adam and Agnieszka. Lee's Mom and Sister totally out did themselves!

Polish Flag place mats, Balloons, a Chili buffet, Chocolate Fondue, Banners, Poems, Cake, Chocolate Covered Pretzel Favors and More! It ALL was Outstanding!

The Teddy Bear that Lee is holding was a gift from his Mom. It was the Teddy Bear that Lee loved as a child. How great it will be to share with Adam!

Is that a two-piece bathing suit? I don't think I have ever seen one before! HA! Aggie will look so cute sporting it on the boat this summer!!

Lee's Sister created an incredible slide show synced with music on her computer. It gave us a great opportunity to share our First Trip photos with all the family. We even had a "question & answer" session!

So many Thank Yous to write!! :)

The priest from Lee's folks church even stopped by to say hello and offer a blessing!

It's always Safety First at the Weyer's! We are ready with the bike Helmet's.....Now we just need to get the bikes!

Finally, everyone either signed their name or wrote a special note on this picture frame - What a great memento to hang in our home!

Our bags are packed and we are ready to go, but have yet to receive any word on travel dates. We hope every day to get the I-800 form in the mail giving us our last necessary approval before court dates can be assigned. It will come soon! In the mean time, we continue finishing up all those last minute details. The hair and dentist appointments, filling prescriptions, meeting with our accountant about taxes, filling out paper work for FMLA, meeting with Pediatricians, arranging Day Care and so much more! Perhaps tomorrow will be the day our Mail Box delivers the anticipated News! Happy New Year Everyone!

What a beautiful shower and some really amazing gifts! Those travel dates will come very soon. I can not even imagine how anxious you both are to see your kids again.

Hope you get that approval soon and then the court date! I remember this being one of the hardest times to wait and it wasn't even over Christmas. Do you get to call the kids? It took us a month to get a phone number, but finally we were able to call twice a week. She didn't really "talk" on the phone, but she knew her parents were calling and she heard our voices.

I enjoy checking in on the updates.

What an awesome shower you guys had! I love all the decorations and it looks like you got some super useful presents too! :)

Sending you all my good vibes for that letter to arrive... We called almost every day and our case worker at the international processing center even faxed us a copy the day she put it in the mail for us (but, shhhh... she told us not to tell anyone!).

Sarah - I promise not to tell! Great idea!

C - We haven't been able to call :( Our translator has been on vacation and hasn't been heard from over the holidays. She needs to help us facilitate the call.

Yes! We are incredibly anxious!
Thanks for all the words of encouragement!! :)

I agree with everyone else how wonderful the Polish details of the shower were and loved the signed picture idea.

Here's declaring 2010 your year! The year of the family! Time will fly once you have them home and it will be like they've been with you forever. I promise.

Happy New Year!

It looks like you had an amazing time and got a lot of great stuff. I am so excited for you as you delve (though it seems slowly) into this next phase. What lucky children!!! And if you feel anything like we did, what lucky parents too! I wish you the absolute best!

Love the shower pics! How fun to use the flag as placemats! I know what you mean about writing those thanks Yous! We had lots too, but I was so overwhelmed by all the love and support that I think I cried my way through all of them! God bless you both!
