First Post from Poland...

It's simply like nothing I have ever experienced before in my life time. The buildings, the people, the history!

Yes, we even found the shopping mall!

We arrived on Friday morning about 11:00am into very deep fog and it felt like we fell out of the sky and landed immediately. We caught a taxi to the hotel and after a 3 hour nap, we headed out for dinner then came home and slept until the morning. We were exhausted because we had slept very little on the plane. On Saturday morning we caught the adventure bug and walked to Old Town. This is an amazing part of Warsaw with cobblestone streets and the most beautiful architecture. We even found a little pub and toasted to our final day of being "child-less". Then a trip to the hotel's hot tub helped the shin splints we developed from walking so much and the blisters we had on our feet. It was a sleepless night for me until my eyes finally gave in to the jet lag about 2am. This morning we headed to Olstzyn and made it safe and sound. I don't think I will ever get use to how they drive here.....Anything under 100 mph seems quite slow! We are resting and posting before dinner and will pick up the children tommorrow!

Last Post from the USA.....

We are ready. Not "ready as we will ever be" or "it's as good as it's going to get". We are ready. I even had a little "Nesting" time this morning and vacuumed the whole house! We will walk out the door today prepared for the journey ahead, encouraged by family and friends and blessed by God. There has been an amazing amount of symbolism this past week which has left Lee and I taking turns giving each other a wink and a squeeze of the hand as if to say....."Wow, God was really speaking to us right then and I am with you, honey, we can do this!" Thank you. Thank you to all our family and friends for your willingness to handle last minute errands, to pray for us, and to love and support us. It takes a village.
We are ready and We Are On Our Way to Poland!

Dear Adam and Aggie,

We received wonderful news today!

We are On Our Way Back to Poland and will be there to give you both great big hugs on Monday, March 1. Words cannot express how excited we are to see you again! The time ahead of us as a family is one of a kind and we can't wait to embrace the beginning of this new chapter in our lives. There is a buzz of activity happening at the Weyers home right now. We are busy finishing our taxes, calling FMLA, arranging day care, handling loose ends at at work, making flight arrangements, pet arrangements, financial arrangements. We are preparing meals to freeze so we are ready for our return, we are making doctor appointments for you, we are gathering paperwork and necessary original documents, we are finishing the packing of our suitcases, and we are making sure that all our friends and family know how to connect with us while oversees. Lots to do!

We know that none of this is as important as getting back to Poland to love and embrace you. For we love you very very much. The memories we will create will be with all of us forever in our hearts, minds and souls! We are so blessed to be on this Journey to become your parents and welcome you to our family.

Love,
Mom and Dad

We Wait....

I have nothing to compare my feelings to that I am experiencing these days.... It's just about foraging ahead and meeting everyday head on. Some days I feel anxious about getting on a plane again because I hate to fly, some days it's sadness because I miss my children so much, some days it's anger because I don't understand why this process takes so darn long, some days it's worry because what if Adam and Aggie forget who we are?

I am a planner and I have been ready for weeks......

My Bags are packed and I trip over my luggage everyday.

"The Chair" sits ready and has been filled with batteries for weeks....

My Grandmother's sisters dresser has been refinished and stands ready.....

The seats are ready at the dinner table...

Sierra? She just wants to go in and out and in and out all day...

Our cat, Geisha, really just can't be bothered, but then again she is a cat....

The reason for our wait is out of our control and we remind ourselves to be patient everyday. We hope to be on our way to Poland early March. There is nothing that we "should be doing" but there is plenty of things we "can" be doing.

Lee and I CAN embrace our relationship and treasure every moment we spend together "pre" children, we can talk every day about the lessons we want to teach our children and the values we want to instill, we can ready our minds for the changes ahead, and we can Pray. Everyday, we can pray for guidance, patients and understanding.

oh, and one more...
We Can get use to seeing car seats in the backseat of our vehicles!!!! It's just so weird! :)
